On March 26, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church, the Choral Society of
Pensacola had the highly unusual privilege to perform Dvorak's Requiem to
the great, great grandson of Antonin Dvorak and his family sitting in the
audience. Every member of the chorus, the orchestra, and the soloists
gave it a little extra for this historic reunion of the composer's 1880
masterpiece to his modern descendants, 131 years later. In the above
picture are shown Ivy Modjeski, Board President, Jacob and Elizabeth, and
Kendall and James Kubik. The performance was truly magical for all.
